Santiago CABEZA SOS serves as the Business Development Director at nexo standards, a globally recognized non-profit association, directly reporting to the Secretary-General. Since his start in 2016, Santiago has made substantial contributions to the global simplification of payment acceptance solutions, drawing on his extensive experience.
Before his current role, he held various influential positions across the payments industry, including stints at Schlumberger, Gemalto and senior roles at Ingenico and ACI Worldwide.
In 2021, he ventured into entrepreneurship by co-founding Teomia Payments, with a vision to support financial firms in growing their operations.
With over two decades in the payment sector, Santiago’s expertise encompasses digital transformation and cybersecurity, particularly focusing on AI and Machine Learning-driven fraud detection strategies.
His academic credentials are equally impressive, holding dual Master of Science degrees in Industrial Engineering from Spain and France, alongside an Executive MBA from IE Business School, where he graduated with honors in 2017.
